Do you receive foreign income?
If yes, please inform us of the amounts of income (rent, interest on investments, services provided, etc.) as well as foreign taxes paid. If you still file your income tax in a foreign country, submit that return.
Do you have more than CAD$100,000 in assets outside Canada?
If yes, please provide asset details such as type of asset (real estate, investments, shares, cash, etc.) and purchase value.
Attention! The foreign property declaration (form T1135) must be submitted by April 30. The late-filing penalty is $25 per day, up to a maximum of $2,500.
Important information
- The filing period begins on February 23, 2026 and runs until April 30, 2026.
- For self-employed people and their spouses, the deadline is June 15th, but the due date for tax payment is April 30th.
